Résumé :
Seven treatises by the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes survive in a fragmentary tenth-century manuscript whose text is now overlaid by a thirteenth-century Euchologion. The Archimedes Palimpsest is the unique source for "The Method of Mechanical Theorems, Stomachion", and for "On Floating Bodies" in Greek. Privately owned, the manuscript was deposited at the Walters Art Museum in January of 1999 for conservation, imaging, and scholarly study. This article provides a report on the progress of the project to date and details a number of recent discoveries.
