Résumé :

The manuscripts Vaticanus gr. 134 and Vaticanus Reg. Pii II 37 preserve a poem by John Eugenicus, composed of 58 dodecasyllables, with which Eugenicus dedicated to John VIII Palaeologus the codex O (the lost manuscript giving the name to the O family of Appian’s Roman History tradition). The paper proposes the edition and the translation of such poem – which turns out to be a cento of verses by Manuel Philes – and makes suggestions on its possible dating.
