Résumé :
The cult of St. Ciriaca, whose Greek hagiographic dossier consists
of eight Passiones, has widely spread in Southern Italy. In some villages of Calabria
and in the province of Messina the martyr is still the object of a double commemoration:
on 6th or 7th of July and on the first or second Sunday of August. The most
ancient witness of this commemoration is the famous Menology written by the
monk Daniel in 1307, which is the testis unicus of two recensions of the Passio of
St. Ciriaca: the Passio BHG 462c, prescribed for the 7th of July, and BHG 462d, for
the 10th of August
