Résumé :

This book presents the first critical edition of the commentary on an early Byzantine canonical collection, the Synopsis Canonum. The author of the commentary was the most famous 12th century Byzantine legal scholar, Alexios Aristenos (pre 1100 – post 1166). The edition includes prolegomena and indices. The book offers insight on Byzantine legal history and will also be of interest to canon lawyers.
