Er schrieb sein Evangelium in der Sprache der Hebräer im Lande Palästina für jene, die glaubten unter den Juden im 1. Jahr der Regentschaft des Kaisers Claudius, nach der Himmelfahrt unseres Herrn, Jesus Christus, in 9 Jahren und er predigte es in Jerusalem und Tyrus (und) Sidon. Und er ging nach Indien und predigte es. Er ging in die Stadt der Menschenfresser und taufte sie. Er kehrte wieder nach Jerusalem zurück und predigte es dort. Dann übersetzte es Johannes der Sohn des Zebedäus in der Stadt Nilas(?) und er vollendete seinen Kampf am 2. Tag des Monats Paopi. Möge sein heiliger Segen auf uns allen sein. Amen.)

Und seine Erscheinung wurde geoffenbart und er gab Freude durch seine Fröhlichkeit, denn gesegnet und erhaben ist sein Ruhm. Es gibt keinen Gott ausser ihm.
